Indeed ~ What would Brunel have done if he was around now?
Quote
Brunel?s Box tunnel, near Bath on the Great Western Railway, was 1.8 miles long, took four and a half years to build and employed at its peak 4,000 men and 300 horses and used a ton of candles and a ton of gunpowder a week. Ten people died building half of the tunnel, between 1839 and 1840.
I used to have a handle on life but it broke.

What would Brunel have done if he was around now?

Worn a tall hat and smoked a cigar?

Price of the train tickets for the 4 of us soon put that idea to bed though...plus overnight B&B, plus spends. ::)
Be cheaper to fly to Rome for the weekend. ::)

Shame as it looks good.
You southerners could go and report back though if you wish. happy088
