OK then if we are into balls. ~ The traditional sign for a Pawnbroker is three balls but why does one hang lower than the other two?

There is a huge and very old pine tree of some sort in the garden here.  The wind has blown down what I assume to be the flowers.  They are a greenish/grey colour and about the size of my little finger there are hundreds of them all over the paths.  They look like hoooge maggots.  I know that they are not maggots, I know that they are plant matter but still I find myself cringing as I walk over them and trying not to squash them. evil:

I put it all down to living in Singapore as a child at one time of year the pavements were littered with what I think were Atlas Moth caterpillars huge great green things and boy did they squidge.  I was five. scared2:
