The mysteries of online shopping
« on: November 22, 2009, 01:12:55 PM »
I have just spent 2 hours battling to book flights, trains and hotels all over the country for the next 2-3 weeks. My last act was to book a train from Scallypool to London for tomorrow. Cattle class single is ?108. First class single with comfy seats and lunch and stuff is ?51! How the fook does that compute?

You are suggesting that some people prefer to pay extra to travel second class  rubschin:

No I am saying that a great many people assume 1st Class is expensive so just toddle down to the station, buy a ticket and never ask about any deals or first class therefore on certain journeys there will be a crowd in the "cattle" class and 1st class will be virtually empty. Empty seats make no money. As soon as they have filled the first class just watch the prices shoot up again.

I have fooked it up.

During my little stay in Lanzartooty  I have to stay one night in a hotel. I booked over the intermong.

I was printing off all the tickets and such today and read a few more details about the hotel.

I was informed that it is close to the beach. Good. Close to the airport. Good. And close to the biggest shopping mall in Latin America  eeek:

I meant to book a place in Arrecife, but have instead booked a place in Recife, Fooking Brazil  Banghead Banghead Banghead Banghead Banghead
