Seems to fit the bill ~ one eye and all.  whistle:

How much do they charge these days ~ for a "rescued" dog like?

Local kennels (pet charity) were asking ?160 last month for a mongrel of indeterminate age.
I used to have a handle on life but it broke.

Wulfy???

Is right. That's what he'll be called if I'm deemed suitable enough to meet their very high criteria.

?95 btw Snoops.

He's absolutely gorgeous. Soft as a brush. Soon as I went up to his nest he rolled over to have his tummy tickled.
He just lay there like a big soft bear with his tail slowly flopping up and down,
I melted instantly. cloud9:
Got to go back and fill some forms in and show the Growlers tomorrow or Sunday, then it's accustomisation visits over the next week or two, followed by a Growler Towers home visit by the RSPCA to make sure he'll be all safe warm and cosy.

MM has been busy looking for stuff to buy him....insurance, brushes, leads, collar, name tag,  bath soap, fur dryer, anti perspirant dedoderant stuff, blankets, and most importantly, a large kennel, big enough for the two of us like. cloud9:
I've even found him a back pack so he can carry all his own clobber when we get yomping together in them there 'ills of mine.
WE are going to be the besiest of mates. cloud9:

I'm not sure it is right to get a new pet... on the rebound like....  noooo:

The cat was never really our pet tbh.
We (particulary me) just sort of reluctantly inherited it, fed and launched it.

I/we'd been considering a dog for a few years now, but I always found an excuse to say no, but had been wavering more and more until the moggy arrival last summer.
Havin' the cat sniffin' around sort of put a temporary lid on the matter.

We came mighty close to purchasing a Lurcher pup 3 years ago when Growler jnr/snr bought one of the litter.
So glad we didn't succumb to the temptation, as his is absolutely bloody mental....lovely but far too bouncy and horse like. eeek:

It'll be my mate to accompany me up 'me 'ill anyway, and I'm sure it'll appreciate all the walking opportunities it'll receive, unlike some of the poor hounds around here that barely ever see more than their back gardens. evil:
