A check round the village internet community reveals that I was not alone last evening. 6 different people suffered similar problems. 2 use BT Broadband. 1 uses Sky, 1 uses Tiscali, I use Telecom Plus and the last contact uses Talk Talk. The only common factor therefore is the local exchange ~ who hotly deny that they had any problems, despite yesterday's high winds and the evidence of our eyes today with several BT Engineers climbing up telegraph poles all over the village. All ISPs have said they had no major problems with their servers but our mixed bag of contacts across the internet world have complained of service failures in various locations in the UK that most believe are due to BT lines and the weather.
