I was fortunate in that they missed me.

I am here on the sofa watching it get light.
It's better than I ever even knew.  They say that the world was built for two.  Only worth living if somebody is loving you.  Baby now you do.

They always reckon pulling an old boiler takes no time at all.

Have you checked their insurance? It will be drafty with a wall missing

Today I shall be putting all affairs in order against my going on Holiday next week.
(Still reading too much Pepys methinks!)

All is nearly ready.
Lists compiled, lost and re-written only to find originals "in a safe place".
Ferry Tickets ✓
Passports and all car docs ✓
European Health Cards ✓
Reflective vests for all passengers in car ✓
Set of spare bulbs for car ✓
Warning Triangle ✓
Car Fire extinguisher ✓
First aid box in car ✓
Adaptors for electrical appliances ✓
Clothing for all washed, ironed and stacked in bedroom ready to pack ✓
Car serviced and continental breakdown cover in place ✓
Arrangements made for neighbour to clear post box daily ✓
Hotel booking confirmation and key code to let us in ✓
Euros obtained ✓
Credit & Debit card providers informed so they don't "stop" a card due to "Unusual spending pattern" ✓
Mobile phone service provider informed to ensure ditto ✓

rubschin: Must have forgotten something. Three days to remember what is is.

It's like moving a frigging regiment!

Whatever happened to the carefree days when I grabbed a change of underwear, a passport and went?  noooo:
I used to have a handle on life but it broke.
