I have been watching all these stupid munters on the London to Brighton bike ride going past.
What a pain!

Not one "real" copper in sight, all plastic ones with no common sense, diverting cyclists to wrong side of road at a zebra crossing doesn't strike me as being a safe move.

This year the council hasn't even bothered to fill in the subsided bits of the road so maybe, with a bit of luck, we will have one of the glorious multiple bike accidemts that used to make us laugh so much.

I did that one on 22 occasions  lol:

If I was asked if I could think of anyone who had been involved in 22 multiple bicycle accidents, you would, of course, be top of the list.
I mostly despair

Rowing on the River Severn, lost in 2 races, but a lovely day.  Just got in from 14mile bike ride and now off to the pub.  cloud9:

eeek: When do you get your licence back?  ;)

Did another 14 miles at least this morning, a beautiful morning.   cloud9: cloud9:

As a matter of interest, Tipsy, where does you avatart come from?

Norman Rockwell's 'After the Prom'.  Google was honouring him the day I joined the pub so it seemed appropriate and Barman put it up for me.

You will get a slap!

Today, for our listening pleasure, we have over the road ...

"Ida Barr once was a big star in the British Music Hall. Now she's a star again cos she's singing the RnB music, innit. Thrill to her version of Missy Elliot's "She's a Bitch" and get down as Ida drops some rhymes about the topics that matter - her home help, flu jabs, and the fall she had doing the Hokey Cokey last Diwali in her sheltered accommodation"

I have spent a pleasant afternoon, cleaning my car and have finished the ironing.  Am about to go for a drive, hopefully past some big windows so that I can see the shine. cloud9:

Today I shall be attending a pre-admission appointment at Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital. This is in preparation for next Monday when I shall be admitted as an inpatient.

Now that's something to look forward to.
