 scared2: He's not kidding.

I am booked directly from wedding companies, this sleazy little knobsnot is hanging around the hotels looking for large groups, hoping its a wedding party. He introduces himself and gets the gigs I am already booked for. He goes in a t the same price I do but the bride and groom don't have to pay the comission for the wedding company so its cheaper for them. Had 2 cancellations in a week because of this fucking cockface. Its the beginning of the season and I am not in any financial position to be losing work. Treacherous little worm!  Angry9: Angry9: Angry9: Angry9: Angry9: Angry9: Angry9: Angry9:

Apey is on the warpath.  noooo:

Tart in distress and her old man too. Always happy to help for a bit of cash. I have some handy mates, like, if you know what I mean.

Make sure you get there early then. If he is looking for large groups surely you could be in and set up before he gets to them?
Also
Speak to the Hotel in advance and get them to throw the b@st@rd out when he starts touting for business.
Also
Make sure your contract with the Wedding Companies states that you get paid if you turn up
Also
Get a deposit when you take the booking
I don't know of any wedding company that doesn't get its munny up front .... they certainly don't go looking for it after the event.

Easier said than done .......we work for international companiies who do not care who turns up , as long as the guests are happy, same with the hotels,,,,,
we cannot ask for deposit unless directly booked ........we stayed away from this coz we would be stealing our own work .......and pissing off the companies we work for ........

But this year it looks like every man for himself .........

The battle plan is in progress ..........the companies have provided details so we  will undercut all these bastards ..(short-term)........

also all people we use have agreed to cut the prices this year.......
