Have just come in from the garden a Vulcan has just flown over...One of these

 cloud9:

Not one of these

That must be THE Vulcan ~ I think they have only the one still flying ~ there was an appeal for cash to help pay for the insurance if I remember rightly.

Wonderful aircraft ~ takes me back to my days in uniform  cloud9:

Following on from this...

A Vulcan bomber has been one of the highlight of the RNAS Culdrose air day.

The appearance of the Cold War bomber was one of a number of attractions to draw in the crowds at the show in Helston, Cornwall.

The 1960-built aircraft was designed to protect the UK from nuclear threat and saw action in the Falklands War before being withdrawn from service in 1984.

It was restored to flying condition in 2008 after a £7m fundraising campaign.

I wonder if Jethro attended. cloud9:

I have always thought that the worst thing about drowning was having to call 'help!' You must look such a fool. It's put me against drowning.

I did my 20 miles on the bike this morning.   cloud9:  Cooked a roast dinner.  Then should have enjoyed over indulging my son, buying clothes at Mary's Hell but a colleague from work rang and spent an hour and a half telling me about a row at work last Friday morning.  evil:  I am now ironing.  angry041:
