I spose if they are sending MIss D on a course at least it means her job is safe. My mate at Brum Council is desperate to get redundancy in the current cuts, but fears he may not. FUnny old werld.

You're assuming that the council does "joined up" thinking, that may not be the case.

I have known as many get made redundant as have been kept on ..... within weeks of them all doing "a course".

Whichever way it pans out it all adds to one's CV and "saleability".
