Today is house clearing the final frontier

All a bit sad

Fire tomorrow then?
May be

Uncle's been through this lately and so have many many others. Not sure if it's harder when they're alive as you dither over nigh on every item - I will now have a lift full of stuff she might want to see one day.

All in all it seems being orphaned at an early age and having no success with foster/adoptive parents is an option to maybe explore if reincarnation gives me the chance
Well, whatever, nevermind

Oh Steve happy100  happy100    Parents eh who'd have 'em?  More trouble than they are worth sometimes. noooo:

I had to clear out my Fathers house many years ago. He lost his marbles at a relatively early age and the guilt my sister and I felt when we tricked him into going into a nursing home (it's only for a few days dad it's your holiday) was awful.

Nick is right one does feel like a burglar going through very personal belongings. In a way I was lucky because other than a few 'bits and bobs' everything either went into a skip or to a local charity shop.

Left 0510, beautiful morning, stopped off for coffee at Newbury and signed in at 0819.   angel1
It's better than I ever even knew.  They say that the world was built for two.  Only worth living if somebody is loving you.  Baby now you do.

Many thanks all, this is a very good place when you're a bit daunted or down

Have a thought too for Uncle who's had to do it recently.

And yes thanks it went well, just took a lot longer than planned today.  Two brilliant blokes from a local auctioneer took loads of stuff away (we find out Saturday how much Mum gets for it all) and Mrs K and I ferried the rest to the tip and lastly my brother who had beer available.

And we get home and find the whole house has fused.  Still got no lighting circuit downstairs  Banghead

More beer to the rescue

Well, whatever, nevermind
