Spent most of the day watching two chaps from the water company digging up my front garden trying to trace a leak.

They arrived at 11:30. At 1:30 they had dug a very deep hole and declared leak found, another 15 minutes and they would be done. They left at 5pm after digging another deep hole on the footpath and tunnelling under the boundary brick wall.

The "put it all back as it was" should arrive tomorrow. (sans leak of course)

I am sure you don't require any egg-sucking lessons from me, but be very sure to confirm with the person in charge, on which side of the tunnelled-under wall the leak was found.
Much easier while the hole is still there.
