The heating engineer cometh!

He has just called to tell me he'll be here in 15 minutes or less.

Let's hope he can fix it!  evil:

Not the same guy! Woman driver of other vehicle has a broken arm and other injuries, she was in a Fiat Punto. The boiler man has been signed off sick for two weeks with "Shock" and some major bruising. Each is blaming the other for not giving way on a hump-back bridge only wide enough for one vehicle at a time.

And the boiler? I hear you all cry.

Man is allowed 1 hour per job and reckons this is a 3 to 4 hour job, which will need him to be wearing protective clothing (white paper suit as in CSI). So he has phoned his depot and they have moaned a lot about how busy they are, particularly with one now off sick but they eventually conceded he can return to do the job on Monday Morning.

Listening into the conversation from this end there was a deal of plumberish tooth sucking, long intakes of breath and heavy sighing.

So Monday 08.30 it is!

Oh and of course he accepted a cup of tea and told me how every other plumber, boiler technician etc is a f'ing cowboy ~ except him.  ::)
