I feel for you dealing with BT... My experience of them is abysmal... 

I have to say, the teleco here (Cyta) although probably more expensive than BT offer just exceptional service and support... You can call them up on a Sunday, speak to a human and get any issue fixed immediately...

Of course they were forced to separate Open Reach out.  To a JV with  . . . .

 . . . .  wait for it . . . . .Carillion   


But an update:  Daniel has failed to fix it because their procedures require him to get authorisation before allocating me another port.  And there has been a fire at the building where port reallocations are handled.   I suspect it may be in Derby (see that other thread)
