The Vicar's Daughter was 40 minutes late on account of having been up till two at a New Year Party, oversleeping and having flat tyres on her bike. SHe bought me a coffee  noooo:

A bit late for Chinese and way too early for Rosh Hashanah.

You are trying to attribute logic to a long term friend of Nick's....  noooo:

Going to Putney to try to land a jumbo jet

flight simulator

I'll try and keep the death count low and then blame it on drones

Is it a full motion sim...?
Sadly not, apparently they are very expensive by the hour.  It’s a full cockpit simulator from Oz where it’s licensed for IFR training and maybe here later this year (that’s their real business plan)

https://london.flightexperience.co.uk/

Still I did one take off, one touch and go landing, two flights over London and a successful if wonky landing (tried to use the steering yoke on the roll out - dumb)

Even though the flight display makes much of it easy to manually ‘fly’ there’s still a lot to focus on. You put the flaps down and look back and you’ve been blown off course and the increased lift is taking you too high

And it responds very slow to inputs, a dog fighter it ain’t

But a good bit of fun even if the taxi there cost a fortune as the district line was effed
Well, whatever, nevermind
