We've had 3 live rats in our house all brought in by cats in the wee small hours. The first reaction is always fear, then anger at the cats for their folly and then you're confronted with this sentient being that's far more shit scared itself. Two we managed to trap using glasses (it takes two), one was bleeding profusely, screaming in distress and ran behind a too difficult to move at that time computer type unit. That's when we bought that trap from Amazon but the day it arrived ratty wised up and escaped through the patio door we'd left open
