Been for a brisk 3 mile walk, nippy outside, supplies purchased and...

Lexus knackered.... rubschin:

That went a few years ago..uncomfortable Audi oil burner now....

Oil...  cloud9:

It might be better on fuel 40mpg vs 18 - but in every other way it's fairly annoying. Bone-jarring ride, stooopid infotainment system, expensive tyres, crap heater, annoying nannying warning messages (I know it's cold, I scraped the ice off before I drove it) and a general flimsiiness of the stalks/switches etc.

But apart from that is it okay...?  rubschin:

I love oil burners now, the Pajero was my first but it drank the stuff...

Kia-Ora is amazing for a 1.7 that sips it...  cloud9:

Oh it's great round corners and that encourages "enthusiastic" driving, but get to 4,500rpm and it hits the buffers...and the automatic gearchange is sooooo slow, even in sport mode. The owld Lexus spun up to 7,000 and changed gear quicker.

Still miss the screaming mad rush of the GSX-R750 at 14,000rpm just before the rev-limiter kicked in and turned the exhaust note into machine-gun fire.  cloud9:

The 5-speed 'fuzzy logic' gearbox on the Pajero was pretty good but the 7-speed DCT on the Kia is sensational! 10mS gearchanges!  eeek:

But yeah... bikes...  track days... screaming 'zorsts*... Drool:

* including that one that Miss D carried halfway round London for me...  cloud9:

Wasn't that some 600cc Yamahairdryer?  rubschin:

Ummm...  redface:

Done automatically isn't it...?

I can't remember what it is called now - Auction Sniper or something?

You tell it your max bid and it jumps in at the last second...

Could have been a manual bid, I know Ebay tells you how much you need to put in to retake the lead as it were and it's just a button click. I only put a bid in with less than 30 seconds left because I didn't think anyone else was watching so if someone did the same just after me they would have had that advantage.

Hopefully the ram auction I'm watching will be more successful.

Tassimo coffee machine Apey. The Dolce Gusto pod machine I was given has finally given up the ghost and this one was only a fiver so I thought it might be worth getting to see if they were any good.

Some friends have the Tassimo, I reckon the coffee is better than our Dolce Gusto to be honest...

Think we slung our Tassimo out, got a Nespresso in a cupboard somewhere and a Beans to cup machine in the kitchen we just don't use.  All too much faff for too little too weak coffee in the cup

Just buying a decent instant coffee and make it double strength using a Quooker works fine for us
Well, whatever, nevermind
