Heating engineer has been to sort the heating/hot water that packed up 2 days ago.As suspected, it was the pump.

Screwdriver trick seemed pointless as it had basically chewed its own guts up and spat them out through a crack in the plastic cover. It tripped the RCD when it expired.
Done the outside room(store room) ..... ...and all ready to inflate the hot tub tomorrow ...what could poss.....
