Off to buy a new tellybox...

Oooooh... Drool:

Popcorn:

Nothing flashy - just a (relatively) simple 43in Toshiba smart TV thingy.

Oh...  sadsmiley30:

4K tho...?

4K Ultra HD, Secure Smart Hybrid Log Gamma Dolby Vision. Whatever that all means...

 cloud9:

I bought it for only 2 reasons :-

1. It's a Toshiba. My 11 year old laptop is a Toshiba and it has never put a foot wrong.
2. It was cheap - £269 from Argos.

 Thumbs:
  Thumbs: Thumbs:

Now all TMR has to do is spend a fortune each month on 4k sources.

Nah - my knackered old eyes probably can't tell much of a difference.
  that's the way I look at it too.  But I guess you wouldn't have got a basic HD TV that size any cheaper

Ack chew welly...just watched the Green Planet in 4K and even my 2K eyes could notice an appreciable difference  rubschin:

If you say so  Thumbs:   Green Planet is fantastic to watch, but that tiresome old bore Attenborough constantly blaming everything on mankind is irritating in the extreme.
