Well that shift was fun. We've had problems with the lift for a while now, the door sensors will randomly ignore being tripped so it can't open when it reaches a floor. Had someone wanting to use it today so tried bringing it upstairs and nothing happened. No problem, I can go downstairs use one of the emergency keys to open the door from the outside and ride it upstairs. A simple plan I hear you say, with one teeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeny tiny problem that I didn't know about till it was too late. There is only 1 emergency door key, which I was holding as I rode the lift back upstairs.....

You can see my dilemma..  Banghead

After stopping the manager from wrecking the door trying to get the botttom corner open enough to pass the key out (metal frame, tempered glass........bad idea) I spent15 bloody minutes going up and down in that lift till I finally managed to get one of the door sensors to work and let me out.  cussing:

Apparently a second key is now on order.  whistle:

But a result.  We were supposed to be having an expensive treat day out tomorrow but they've just emailed to say we can defer it to next year.
Well, whatever, nevermind
