In the pub in Swine Town they have about 6 decent sized screens displaying Sky Sports type stuff.

So why, at this moment, are 4 of them watching "Deal or No Deal"?

Is this really the highlight for these people?  In TMR's world, these people would be culled or put on chain-gangs.

As Growler puts it so well - Sheeple.

Wonder why this Country is going down the shitter?

And now the SMPCP (single mother push chair posse) has turned up, to gorge their fat little spawn on the "any main meal for ?3.49" deal. I can hear the chip-fryer lurching into action already.

It has several things going for it  - it's open in the day, the beers cheapish ( by Cyprus standards), the wife doesn't like it, I can take me dog in!! Where else can I cross swords with a bedfordshire brick-layer, a German nutter, a constituent of the lovely Gorgon Broon and several other priceless gems of Pissouri's finest.
