In Florence... cloud9:
Have I told you my slightly embarrassing story about Florence (the city)?  Culture was lost on scum like me

Popcorn:
Nick's already alluded to it.  So we were due to drive from San Gimignano (wonderful place) to Turin with ample time for half a day in Florence on route.  Well we got to Florence and unlike 99.9% of humanity thought 'what a dump'.  We ambled past a statue of a bloke with small willy, looked at a street of bonkers prices fashion and pissed off pronto diverting past Monaco (bonkers) instead missing what is supposed to be one of the jewels of Europe.   We were there less than an hour - which saved a fortune on the car park.

Venice it ain't but it seems culture and us are like oil and water.   But that said Turin was rubbish too.

I like it...  cloud9:

Well, whatever, nevermind

I am afraid I am like 99.9% of the masses and really loved Florence  lol:

We did the climb up to the top of the dome and that was a bit horrible with the claustrophic space / staircase but views at top were worth it 👌

Always wondered about doing that by I figure unless you fork out the Łkmulti for a Paddock Club pass you won't get to see much.

Our 2 hours included a stupid 'where is the tunnel' search (it was underneath us) and driving the track.  Liked it so much we went back for a long weekend the next year.  It doesn't take long before the intensity and density of the place becomes a bit oppressive.   Some bonkersly gorgeous totty though.
Well, whatever, nevermind
