Once my puncture has been reported I shall be heading off to Shropshire to give some support to the family of a good friend who passed away yesterday. The post-mortem will say asbestosis or emphysema, but all that knew him know that he died of a broken heart following the death of his wife a few months ago after a long battle with cancer

He'd pulled up and made a start, I didn't know this until he fired up the air compressor and the dog started barking. I went out to say hello and said do you want me to park it in the barn where it's dry. "No, it's OK, I don't mind working in the rain". "Fair enough, if you're sure" said I, "And by the way, you've jacked up the nearside, the puncture is on the offside rear"  doh: Now that he's gone, I shall check the wheel nuts before heading off out  noooo:
