Used these people a few years ago. Gas fire/back boiler removed, new condensing boiler, some new rads power flush etc.

Decent price, good workers (v tidy) and for me (praps not for you) very local.

It isn't Corgi now... it is Gas Safe...  whistle:

Whatever ..... We have been on oil for ten years.

The principle in the advice is still sound.

There is normally a fee to pay for the removal of the old boiler as they have to pay when they scrap them.

Pay to get rid of a load of copper?  rubschin:

You Plonker Rodney! Not that sort of boiler. Banghead

How long since you left the UK .... almost anything other than copper has to to paid for when you want to dispose of it.... we can't just throw it off the cliff edge like some. It is all to do with an EU regulation ~ coming your way soon ~ about recycling of used boilers, cars etc. etc. Almost all metal made objects and certainly ANYTHING a tradesman wishes to scrap has to be paid for and he has to be licensed to scrap it which also costs him money.

You need a licence to carry waste.

So called builder next door brings loadsa rubbish home, dumps it in the "garden" (wilderness, rubbish tip now) and then hires a skip and disposes it all as "domestic" waste. Very naughty!

He actually had a fight with some pikeys who were trying to take stuff from the skip!

Have now upset him by objecting to his planning application (turned down).

Today I have already "downloaded my implant info" and transmitted it to the Cardio Centre in Liverpool. They now have a record of 3 month's x 24 hours ECG ...... beats driving over there once every three months. Technology is wunnerfool!

By 10 am I shall have a call that will either say "Thanks everything is fine" OR "Come straight over"
