It was a strange place to be used as HQ. About a thousand anglers, plus stewards etc, all trying to ignore the armed polce who did not look at all happy at their territory being invaded.
It was the weirdest/worst national I have fished.

Today is the big one. The team Christmas meal.

Leave work at  12 straight to the pub. Meal booked for 3 and then a drinking itinerary planned for this evening. Offensive secret Santa has been purchased !

This year I will be sensible and not partake of the last man / woman standing competition - last year that saw us ending up in some club in the West End dancing away. The boys were also queuing to be beaten with an inflatable bat by girls dressed up as cavewomen and I was cornered by a one armed bandit

I have my sensible hat on this year and will stay for one or two after the meal but that will be it angel1
