I have added dishes of olives, gherkins, grapes, chopped celery and cherry tomatoes. The whole table looks very "Mediterranean".

SWWLTBO is now very impressed.

The children are looking forlorn as none of this fare is to their liking. Hey, ho! You can't please everyone. tunble:

Ditto, only mine was free, cold and exceedingly snowy. Aching like a twat now. Heavy going walking in deep snow.
Only downside were tosspots on cheap sledges charging down the main walking paths, and they weren't all kids either. ::)

It'll be sooooo much betterer and quieter up there on me free outdoor gym tomorrow afternoon.
I might take me lunch up there p'raps and survey the glorious scenery that I DON'T EVER get tired of looking at, despite some sheepies suggestions that "it must get boring going up there all the time?
Don't you get fedup with it?"

Well no actually, because it gets me away from boring ares holes like you tbqath. cloud9:

Finally home after what feels like weeks away.
I have always thought that the worst thing about drowning was having to call 'help!' You must look such a fool. It's put me against drowning.

Given the state of most of us here that may be too close to the truth.

You will need some Young's to cure you, like

Those nice people at Youngs didn't reduce their beer prices when VAT was cut.
They have now increased their prices quoting the VAT change as the cause - 6p a pint!

John Young must be spinning in his grave to see his family business has turned into yet another profitering corporation.

I am not altogether sure that he or any other Victorian brewer created their business out of charitable motives  ;)

Knowing brewers and pub companies I am willing to bet a pint or two that if asked they would claim that they have been absorbing rising costs and have been forced to act now, not that they will make a penny out of it mind you, simply recover their previous position ~ If I had a £ for every time I'd heard that crap from a brewery manager I would have been able to buy the fvcking pub.

Up until his death he had been fighting off the corporate/banking/asset stripping mob for years. They tried very hard to get rid of him.
I'm sure he wanted to make a profit, but at least he had some standards.

The rumour now is, that the prices will go up again on the 26th of this month and then we will have to face the budget.
