Started in Bala and took in the perimeter road around Lake Vyrnwy amongst other places.
BIG fond memory for me that. cloud9:

Sod the racing, I'd have stopped for a picnic..... and have done on a few occasions


I did a sponsored swim round lake Bala in my teens damned cold if my memory serves me correctly.


Your memory is as accurate as ever. I was paddling in it putting a trout back last year. Bloody water was freezing ~ which will teach me to eschew the wellies in favour of rolled up jeans and bare feet.
I used to have a handle on life but it broke.
