Currently in The George in Croydon watching weirdy-beardies try different ales during the "Ale and cider festival".

On the Guinness, Growler.

Now back on the "course" (Tel knows about it) sitting in a room with other long-term unemployed doing precisely nothing. As we did since 9.30 this morning.

Bunch of arse.

Been there, dunnit.
Couldn't handle it - depressing to put mildly and such a waste of time.

They seem to work on the basis that you will take any job, just to avoid these cretinous exercises - it's all about numbers yet again.
I don't count as unemployeed cos I took myself out of the Jobcentre cos I wouldn't do another set of courses.

Did these "courses" years ago. Complete waste of time although it did give me the idea that I could run such courses and do it better. I created a business out of the idea. It worked well for a couple of years.
I used to have a handle on life but it broke.

It's all sub-contracted with targets etc.

I'm sure I've moned about them before, so I won't waste anybodys time.

The worst part is being told beforehand, that you won't like it, it's really for people like you and you shouldn't be on it, but those are the rules - no opportunity for anyone to be flixible and use thier initiative (and save money!)
You can most of it at home, in more pleasant suroundings, at your pace etc.
That's enough for now.  evil:

7 hours of doing FA today. One of the "tutors" had a pop at a chap because he didn't have a mobile phone. He claimed "you can't possibly expect to get a job if you don't have a mobile."

What a cnut.

TMR  I am appalled by this. Cnut sums it up. If you have the energy and wherewith all please please complain about this.  Soo we have the Government telling us to be responsible and many of us are and then we have tossers like this telling us that we need a mobile to get a job, it beggars belief but I am not surprised. I am in a fury.

If you want to speak to me, ring me on me landline if you've asked for it and I've given it to you.
If you haven't got me landline number, that's because I don't want to speak to you.

I very rarely get phone calls at home. cloud9:

Lunch. This morning I have mainly been strolling around Croydon handing my CV to various agencies - all of them looked at the CV and grunted about being over qualified for most things.

Next step is to "dumb-down" the CV.

Bunch of arse.
