It's better than I ever even knew.  They say that the world was built for two.  Only worth living if somebody is loving you.  Baby now you do.

Important to the child if she plans to use them as a spring board to A levels and important if she is not planning on staying at school to gain more qualifications ....but as she already seems to have her pick of jobs then perhaps she has left?

GCSE results become less important the higher up the education ladder you climb. Once you have A levels then interest in what grade you got at GCSE is often not looked at.
As I have said before ..... or are you once again only reading the bits of the posts that irk you and forgetting the rest?

Yes I read that including the bit about who is claiming this to be the case. It certainly isn't happening during this year's round of open days and interviews. In fact there is no space for it on the applications. It's just another silly season teachers justifying themselves story.

Pupils who fail to excel at their GCSEs are being discriminated against by universities increasingly using the exams to weed out candidates for degree courses, leading teachers have claimed.

When exactly did you last need to produce your O Level certificates as part of your job interview? Your Higher Qualifications and experience is all anyone is interested in.

I certainly haven't had to produce O Level certs since the age of 15. After leaving the RAF A levels and experience were all anyone was interested in.
