I so seem to be jinxed. I once decided to eschew the train and flew to Gatwick instead. The whole national Air Traffic COntrol system collapsed  noooo:

I use the Toll bit of the M6 which saves a lot of time. Have reached Central London in 4 hours from here. Depends largely on what time you have to leave and whether you like driving at speed. Of course it takes over an hour to get onto the M6 from here (via Junction 16). Anywhoo that has always been my opreferred means of getting down there but then trains are sooo expensive when there are 5 to pay for and no-one to claim the exes from.

I am s'posed to be werking like. I'll have to close the screen that I use to keep an eye on the VP or I'll never get it done.

Road trip.
I have always thought that the worst thing about drowning was having to call 'help!' You must look such a fool. It's put me against drowning.

Been quietly industrious for most of the day turning work around  angel1

I had to send some files over to a fairly heavyweight printer via their FTP site; very difficult not to be nosey and see what else they're being sent, like next month's Maxim  eeek:  eyes:

I have been installing new light fittings in the hall and landing. Sh*t my chest muscles hurt. Perhaps it was not wise to be working with both hands above head height quite so soon after the muscles on the left side had been cut and sewn back together.

Number one daughter just called ~ Number two granddaughter has achieved 3 x A, 6 x B, and 3 x C grades in her GCSEs + a Merit BTec (Sports).

So that's another happy household looking forward to choosing a Uni next year. This one wants to read Marine Biology at Bath so will be doing Eng Lit, Biology, Chemistry and for "light relief" Film Studies at As level from September.

Enjoy Nick. If you want some good quality food to take home, I can recommend this place on the edge of town . I used it a few times earlier this year

I did Film as an ancillary subject; my dissertation on Ingmar Bergman could have made a packet as a cure for insomnia  ;D
