All of this will no doubt be relayed back and shown to the 'uncertified as yet' insane mrs G, by the prying and investgative  MM, as if I actually  any longer care like. Shrugs:

I'm considering a caravan for now, and roaming from one site to another every few weeks.
Where the hell all my belongings are going to go is another issue however.

If you are serious get a bigger caravan on a permanent site. Most have rules (summat to do with council tax) that you can only live there for 46 or 48 weeks of the year but there are plenty of vacancies in the Rhyl/Towyn area for just such and many people like you live in them. They tend to piss off to Spain over Christmas and New Year of stay with friends in ... say .... Nottingham ..... whilst they serve their term of vacating the site.
Such people are the mainstay of the local economy but don't tell the taxman. They mend cars, houses, paint guttering and window frames etc etc. I know one who is running a very profitable vintage car parts operation using a lap-top, the local post office and ebay from the spare bedroom of his caravan. Another is my barber who has lived there since he split from his wife and still runs his shop.
My brother did much the same when he split from his ex. He lived in a caravan for several years on just such a site in Dorset until he thought he ought to get off the booze (he didn't) and baccy (he now only smoke Golden Virginia!!) and moved up here to be near me (the only family he felt he had other than a daughter in Switzerland and since he can't stand the Germans he couldn't move out there)

It is certainly the route I would take if I were to split from the family and one that the wife and I may well go down once the chicks have flown the nest.

PS By People like you I mean people who are for one reason or another on their own or just a couple, who have skills and don't mind doing a bit of "cash in hand" work as well as the declared stuff.

Biggest problem is as stated previously, where the hell to put all my crap and stuff.

Old cheap 2 berther, caravan club membership with all essential mod cons thrown in on site, tenner a night, laffin'...ish.

I know it would require some downsizing and you'd prolly need a lock up somewhere for werk tools, spares, vehicles etc but a larger sited van would give you much needed space for personal gear and a base to rebuild a client list from. People don't like dealing with a "nomad" but on a residential site your address would be something like "Bear's Cave" Bide-a-wee Lane, Towyn, Conwy which looks "settled" and "reliable". Existing customers would just assume a change of address. It also works out cheaper than paying a tenner a night + hook-up fees, insurance and towing costs.

Today I tried out a new resistance machine at the gym.
I thought it was a cross-trainer but it was quite different.
Eventually worked out that you had to use it as if you were skiing (something I have never done) and entailed moving your hips from side to side - as it was only level 1, I ended up going very fast and had to give in.

I now have aching hips.
