Pastis, who has travelled 200 miles to take his aunt out for lunch, reports that she got grumpy and, um, refused to come out for lunch.

Pastis winding up little old ladies should be beneath you. noooo:

I don't know a bit of rain and enforced 'wet play' seems to make you all misbehave. noooo:
I have always thought that the worst thing about drowning was having to call 'help!' You must look such a fool. It's put me against drowning.

And that, it is proposed, is going to be one of the three ways to become a police officer.
Time as a PCSO
Time as a "Special" (Unpaid)
Fast tracked graduates

Ridiculous!  noooo:

When I heard it on "Today" this morning SWWLTBO said I looked like "Disgusted of Tunbridge Wells". She feared for my blood pressure. ;D

This afternoon I have been stuffing leaflets into the magazine which came back from the printer this morning.
One leaflet has been issued by the County Council Youth Service (trying to drum up interest in the DoE Award scheme)
At one point I was idly reading the leaflets as I stuffed them into the pages of the heap of magazine (a thankless task worth many paper cuts) and I noticed a spelling error. I thought I should perhaps ring the man who had commissioned the leaflets and ask if he wanted them to go out with the spelling error. (They have used were instead of where). He didn't understand the difference. No he is not Welsh ~ he hails from that City across the Mersey. I suppose it must be an accent problem as he does indeed pronounce "where" as "were".

Editor's note for next magazine disassociating me and my printers from leaflets produced by others methinks ..... although as I said to the man at the council ..... "50% of our readership can't spell any better and the other 50% will throw it in the bin unread.

I am back  noooo: noooo: noooo:  What a palava  ::) ::)

She behaved like Andy in the wheelchair in Lou & Andy. No, I can't, no, I don't want to, i feel sick, I can't walk... For all I know when we were having lunch down the pub she was off on a jog  eeek:
Anyway, the right thing has been done and she has cake and cards.  ::)

Those trains are mighty quick and rather tilty  eeek:  No stops, all the way through from Euston to Warrington; 1hr 50mins. Same on the return. But why oh why do they have 4 1st class carriages with passengers in single figures and 5 standard carriages with folk seated on the floor because all the seats were taken?  noooo: noooo:
Like the Buddhist said to the hot dog vendor...
