Currently I am watching two men and a "Cherry Picker" from the council put up Christmas decorations on the lamp-post opposite. It looks like this year we have an ice cream cornet with stars coming out of the top. That should manage to keep me awake, shining through the bedroom window ~ until it stops working like they do every year. Why do it on a Sunday? Lack of traffic or over-time payments?

I have always thought that the worst thing about drowning was having to call 'help!' You must look such a fool. It's put me against drowning.

Lunch here today. cloud9:

http://www.theoldforgeotterbourne.co.uk/

I was last in there about two years ago. Food wasn't too bad, I wanted to take the cowhide away that was near the entrance, from the photos I can see that it's still there. A good way to walk off the calories after is head one mile towards Winchester and turn right towards Shawford. Park by the brdge and have a wander on shawford Down. A little further on is St Catherine's Hill, park by the Twyford viaduct or in Five Bridges Road near Hockley traffic lights, you get great views from up there
