Been to 4 monthly Diabetes Outpatient Clinic. Consultant seen ~ says he is very pleased with the control I am exercising over the condition. All blood tests etc showed "well managed blood sugar levels" also Liver, kidneys and thyroid are "normal" apart from known kidney damage (old rugby injury) and even that is "stable"  cloud9:

Low level bollocking for starting smoking after 15 years! Must try to stop! I know it is stoopid but I was trying to get off the valium is my only excuse.  shrugs:

Today I shall be mainly waiting in for the plumber.

Have already set and lit fires.

Also changed battery in the smoke detector which has "Bleeped" at intervals throughout the night .... would have done it at 2am but SWWLTBO reminded me that when changing the battery it makes a lot of noise and that would wake the kids.

I am looking forward to listening to Growlers owl impersonation at the Christmas bash.

Has anybody thought to ask him if the impersonation is 'Twit-Twoo' like an owl, or an 'owl like a wolf?
I mostly despair

Plumber arrived at 12.
He has the boiler spread all over the utility room and has now "gone for parts"
Hopes to get them locally (that could anywhere from Llandudno to Chester) and "fingers crossed .... should be finished today"  eeek:

Meanwhile I have been to the chemist for Lemsips and the THW, having finally woken at 1030, graciously demanded two scrambled eggs and three slices of buttered toast. That was cooked by me and Minor carried it to her room for me.

She has now summoned him and said that she thinks she could manage a plate of Risotto and a mug of soup  eeek:

She has also instructed that we wake her at 3 as she has a driving lesson at 3.30.

Oh and can she have Noodles and Quorn Burgers (note plural) for her dinner when she gets back from the driving lesson.

Clearly she does not have flu  angry041:

She may have my boot up her arse by the end of the day!  evil:
