I am werking away as usual but they are re-surfacing the road outside now (having done the pavements before Christmas). Hoooge piles of tarmac like a mogul field, and the noise ...  noooo:

Today I have mainly been moving into a hotel. Tomorrow I will mainly be moving into a house.

Today I decided that my one New Year's Resolution, to cut down on my caffiene intake is detrimental to my sanity so I've decided to double it instead, God help everyone at work tomorrow....   eveilgrin:

Meanwhile the THW has just left to take an hour long driving lesson ..... followed by her test  scared2:

Rang the test centre to see if they would be cancelling because of the snow..... "We will inform her when she gets here as no decision will be made until 10 minutes before she is due to start the test" ..... which means I will be paying for the two hours that the driving school car is booked for even if the test is cancelled. cussing:

I do so hope she passes ..... The cost of the lessons is high and failure means a loooooong wait until the next test so she will want yet more lessons in the meantime.

The hope is that she will pass and that the examiner will be "kinder" because of the weather conditions.... Can't see it myself.  noooo:

What is certain is that it will be everybody's fault but hers ~ she has already announced that if she fails she will try again but wants a different instructor  ::)

Waiting list for resits is stretching to 4 months according to class mates who have recently failed ~ Oh and "They Say" Rhyl test centre has a policy if failing ALL first time teenage drivers  bs: .... The excuses are all in place!  Banghead

My driving instructor was a complete perv. My Wednesday morning lesson , started at 11. Included a pub lunch ( obviously no alcohol ) and a drive round Tamworth , Lichfield and into country lanes. I lived in Birmingham at the time  lol:

Usually got home by 3  lol:

I have been taking LL for an MRI...

Then we had to look at pots for the garden... I was bored rigid by the second garden centre...

LL: What do you think of this one?
Barman: shrugs:
LL: How about this one?
Barman: I don't care...  ::)

LL: You choose one then!
Barman: [picks, biggest, ugliest and most expensive pot] I like this one!   eveilgrin:

Now we are not speaking...  cloud9:

I seem to have become entangled in some sort of mad project to train winemakers in India. I don't understand it either. Have to go to a meeting at the Foreign Office  whacky115

THW has texted that she is finished and for her mother to collect her from the test centre and take her into school .... she has NOT said pass or fail  Banghead

Knowing the child (is she still such?) I would expect, if she has failed, her to have said .... If she has passed she would not say as she will be wanting to tell her mother to take the L Plates off the car and let her drive it to school .... but I may be clutching (geddit?) at straws.

I have champagne chilling and a car waiting for her if she has passed ..... If she has failed the car will remain, as far as she is concerned, "Dad's spare toy".  whistle:
