Lit is correct if it is describing the state of the candles, rather than the act of lighting them.

Unless Nick is going through one of his Teutonic phases, the latter case would have been "I have lighted scented candles".

Phew, what a relief. Can we compare to hanged and hung, obliquely? They were lit. But then I lit them before I wrote that  rubschin:

VP seems slow other sites quite quick.  Funny though when i am away and having problems getting into other sites I can always get the Board here really quickly.

I know that was off track but its slow so I was economising moving around...

anyhow, 3 here and cloudy wet.  Going now as I missed my first two trains yesterday am cos I had to get the ice of the windows of my car.

Wonder who Ill meet today ... and if any of them I met yesterday will speak today... bet they don't.   ;D

Oh and  Great Bridge!  ::)   and I dont mean Norman Foster's Millau masterpiece
It's better than I ever even knew.  They say that the world was built for two.  Only worth living if somebody is loving you.  Baby now you do.

Borrowed my mates car while mine is being serviced - flat battery...

Got followed home by two horses this morning too...
