They do seem to be .... Lots of "Well it's your choice but ..........."

But she had a short list of 5 that she applied to ... was interviewed by all and all made offers (conditional) She then has to reject 3 and confirm with 2. My advice was select your favourite as 1 and take the best of the lower conditions as "insurance"
For once she listened and went for Royal Holloway and Derby.
Royal Holloway actually made two offers. If her grades are good enough they offered an MSc and if they were a bit lower then a BSc..... so in reality that is two offers but since they are from the same place it gives her three choices in all.
Derby may not be the best known but they have this year been granted the right to issue their own degrees in Geology and as far as grades required are concerned she already has more than enough to go there without sitting another exam so the "insurance" choice is a dead cert!

She is now in the happy position of knowing that even if she totally fvcks up the rest of her A levels she is in!!!

AND I have the certainty that whatever happens from now on ... come October she is out of my hair for 36 weeks of the year!  cloud9:

Hopefully nothing

(i) Currently no Boyfriend
(ii) On the pill anyway
(iii) She is eager to go
(iv) Royal Holloway is a 20 minute walk from BiL's house so she is, if she gets there, assured of at least one good meal a month + the odd £50 note when she needs it. Not only a good uncle but also her Godfather and childless.
(v) Derby is halfway to MiL's and en route so when SWWLTBO visits her mother she can pick up THW and take her to and from Grandma's without risk of encountering the Big Bad Wolf!
AND Lastly
(vi) Finance is in place thanks to Welsh Assembly grant and student loan company. Bursary has been offered by both  Derby and R.H.
WAG will be paying her fees. cloud9:

I read that from start to finish and am none the wiser.

Complete mumbo-jumbo and nonsense.

They have clearly chosen the right person.
