I have just been talking to my nephew who lives in Australia. Today he goes to SIngapore for three days. Then to Houston. Then to Paris. Then to Winchester. Then to Newquay. Then back to Paris. Then to Kuala Lumpur and then back to Perth!  surrender:

Is he a surfer by any chance, I can't see any other reason to go to Newquay. The place is a shithole.
The universe is run by the complex interweaving of three elements. Energy, matter, and enlightened self-interest.

Yesterday the Harridan phoned. I answered the call andshe told me that she had some bad news for Mr C.

I hand the phone over. One of Mr C's cousins a while ago was diagnosed and treated for prostrate cancer. It seems the cancer has returned with a vengeance he has not got long to live and due to the cocktail of drugs is awake for no more than two hours a day. Having heard all this Mr C said that he would send the family a card. Harridan's immediate response 'oh no you mustn't do that.'

I was just a bit cross. angel1 there is no logic in her comment. If I were in the cousins place I souls appreciate messages of support from friends and family. It is purely a control thing.

So today we have scheduled in a vist to a card shop and a post box.
I have always thought that the worst thing about drowning was having to call 'help!' You must look such a fool. It's put me against drowning.

Is prostrate cancer the sort that makes you lie down all the time?

I spotted that of course, but good taste and manners prevented me from commenting.

Miss C. Sorry to hear of this.
Could it be that Mrs H misunderstood your intent? It does seem a very odd response even from a Northern basket case.
I mostly despair
