I went into the bank today to open a new account, or rather close down an old one and switch the funds to an easier one for online fiddling   transactions.

The laydee assistant took my details and found the old account on the 'puter ... she turned to me to confirm the amount.

"Twenty one?"
"Er, hundred?" says I
"Twenty one thousand?" says she
 eeek: eeek:  ...   rubschin: rubschin: ...  Sinister:

"Could be" says I   whistle:

"Ooh No, I think I've got the wrong account" says she

 Banghead Banghead   So close  ::)

Back in the old days of Telex, we had a number that was one digit different from a minor commercial bank and would get the occasional mis-dialled message.
Once, we got one asking for the account number to which we would like $36,000,000 dollars transferred.
It was very tempting...

Did they call and reverse the charges from Nigeria?
I used to have a handle on life but it broke.
