Today I have to have a hearing for some little scroat that has put in an official grievance that I hadn't recommended him for a pay rise as part of the performance management system . Although this  is still effectively in place it is not being used because no one is getting a pay rise. Whether this is an annual pay rise or through the PMP system.

His statement says he can't afford to pay his mortgage , etc etc etc  Banghead . Oh he is single , living with his GF who earns a fortune, has no children, can afford to go out on the lash every night and keep ferrets as a hobby  noooo: . Oh but the most important thing ....he failed the criteria under the PMP system anyway - not that he sees this as relevant .  evil:

Well that shouldn't take long to dispose of ... take along an application for Working Family Tax Credit and hand it to him as he leaves the hearing.  eveilgrin:

Sounds like a bit of a barrack room lawyer to me.
If nobody is getting a pay rise this year and cutbacks in staff have been going on surely he doesn't have a case .... how on earth has it got to a "hearing"? HR should have simply told him he didn't have a leg to stand on .....
Unless the union are using him  rubschin:

Anyway ~ enjoy yourself.  ;)

Tell him you have reviewed his case and decided, after careful consideration, that he is eligible for a 0% pay rise like everybody else.

I predict he'll be on the blower 1 minute past 10:30 enquiring as to my whereabouts, bloody great TIT.
