The landlord came to measure the hole, then turned up with a bag of cement and three different types of bricks. This is gonna be such a botched job for sure. You just know he has gone round building sites nicking odd bricks. The last time he got his fella to fix a cracked pipe under the bath he replaced the tile with a big turquoise one.......my bathroom tiles are navy. noooo:

Went to the local hostelry last night. eeek: noooo: scared2: Had one drink and scurried home.

Daughter number 1 has been here with her partner.  They started cutting the hedge yesterday it went swimmingly until they managed to cut through the cable. noooo:

They leave today after which I may have to take to my bed.
I have always thought that the worst thing about drowning was having to call 'help!' You must look such a fool. It's put me against drowning.

I'm going here today: http://www.cilcainshow.org.uk/

I shall marvel once again in virtual disbelief at the fell runners who run for 4 miles, and climb to nearly 2000 feet up 'me 'ill'  cloud9: and then back down again in just over 30 minutes!  cloud9:
Incredible! eeek:

I shall then watch the teddy bear parachuting contest, sample some local produce samples before finally drifting around the stalls and having a natter with the park rangers and Owl man who will no doubt let me place one of my favouristist creatures on me paw again. cloud9:
