I'm going here today: http://www.cilcainshow.org.uk/
I shall marvel once again in virtual disbelief at the fell runners who run for 4 miles, and climb to nearly 2000 feet up 'me 'ill' and then back down again in just over 30 minutes!
Incredible!
I shall then watch the teddy bear parachuting contest, sample some local produce samples before finally drifting around the stalls and having a natter with the park rangers and Owl man who will no doubt let me place one of my favouristist creatures on me paw again.
Sounds like a good day Growler
It was indeedeedo JOM.
That mountain race still leaves me gobsmaked, absolutely and totally gobsmacked.
You've got these (mainly) wanabe pussy's that do marathon running...yea, I know I couldn't do it, but come on, it;s easy meat compared to what these fell runners do.
4.5 miles, climbing 1800 ft in the mud, over boulders, across streams, and all in 33:37 - 62:25.
Total admiration for their dedication towards their fitness leveles and sport.
Weather wasn't that bad, just a couple of light drizzly showers, sheeples were actually pretty good (mainly locals I presume) grub was great, bear parachuting as fun as ever, fantastic dog show, no litter anywhere, and the best bit was reserved for last.
A great Canadian Eagle Owlie called BoBo on me paw. Massive soft and stunningly gorgeous.
