Been out, a very pleasant Sunday Lunch in the company of the delightful MissD  cloud9:  who was being understandably abstemious after a heavy week's socialising  whistle:

Thence to the shops ... I had a sudden urge to try roasting some chestnuts what with it being all chilly and festive - no open fire unfortunately  rubschin:

I blame Miss T,  I went out again to get some sprouts, chestnuts and pancetta. I shall report later

oooooo, let me know.

@ JOM

lol:   I'm waiting on your sprout experiment.  The chestnuts are bootiful;  make a X with a sharp knife to pierce the skin then 30 mins in a hot oven ...   Drool:

The Brat has just been telling me that Father Christmas is dressed in red because of the long standing association with Coco Cola.

When I picked myself off rhe floor from laughing so much she shook her head at me and told me I know nuffink  lol:

I hate to tell you but the Brat is just about right.

Santa ~ as a jolly, white bearded, fat man dressed in red  with black boots and belt and white fur trim was indeed the invention of Coca Cola advertisers in the 1930s.

You'd best do some grovelling to the child.
I used to have a handle on life but it broke.
