 lol:   I'm waiting on your sprout experiment.  The chestnuts are bootiful;  make a X with a sharp knife to pierce the skin then 30 mins in a hot oven ...   Drool:

You used the "BBC Food" destructions too, lovely by themselves and they worked fantastic with the sprouts and pancetta. Thanks Miss T  :thumbsup: 

They will be on the menu on Sunday but one lesson was learnt, they were a bit soft for my liking, so I'll barely boil the sprouts cos I like them firm and the couple of minutes with the wine and other bits will be just perfick Drool:

Tis best to shred the sprouts and not cook them whole  ....pine nuts are also a good alternative if no chestnuts available  :thumbsup:
