You will be pleased to know that there are absolutely no signs of christmas spirit being witnessed on public transport. In fact it would appear that all out war has been declared  noooo:

Oh noes... My house is still there... 14 Rembrandt Close, Black Dam, Basingstoke - check it out on Google Earth like...  cloud9:

Ooh I know there. I use to park in there and walk through to the Chinese (no GM food and no MSG  cloud9: ) until I found out there was a car park on the other side of the social club on Holbein Way

It's better than I ever even knew.  They say that the world was built for two.  Only worth living if somebody is loving you.  Baby now you do.

What an unexpected afternoon  surrender:

The alternator on the car decided to pack up, red light alert  rubschin:. Went round to where I had the new battery fitted just to check... Yep, alternator dying ... car running on battery juice. Can they fix it? Man looks at watch... no time to get an alternator, they're packing up for Christmas, like  ::)

Plan B.  Drive round to Honest Dave's to see if he can fix it...
"To be honest, we're shutting down for Christmas, so it's going to be Wednesday of next week if you want to leave it with us?... "  noooo:

Plan C - a cunning plan if ever there was  Sinister:
Phone the RAC
After a 2 hour wait, Captain Sensible turns up and assesses the situation, now cold, dark and beginning to lash it down  noooo:
Can he find a garage open with a replacement + drive belt + power steering belt which is shot?  scared2:
If he can't then that's it, Boxing Day plans on the rack as there are no trains either to get me to rellies ...
...
...
He can!  Party001:   Out with the old alternator, belts etc ... He is currently on a two hour round trip to Catford  eeek: and back and will fit the new one ... allegedly ...  rubschin:

I can only wait now ...   sadsmiley30:   Of all the days / nights for an alternator to pack up   ::)

At every garage I've passed, there's been a queue for petrol.
Everyone leaving the city?
