Have been staying in Shrewsbury for a couple of days... mostly eating drinking and eating and drinking.  Then more of the same.  angel1

I was in Oswestry over the weekend ..... could have had a pint with you.

Shame I missed you.  We went here and found it was well worth the morning.   angel1

I remember going there in the sixties on a school trip (it was local for us). Didn't have all the fancy bits that it's got today - just a bunch of old Roman foundations 'n stuff.

Did you go to Blists Hill? The Victorian town at Ironbridge/Madeley.
"Political Correctness is a doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end."

Well, someone had to say it!

Spent the afternoon in Ironbridge but not at the museums.  Have been on several occasions before, my favourites were the toll house and the section of Tarmacadam road showing all the layers and camber and everything.   cloud9: cloud9: cloud9:

apc and Miss T took us to the shittest bar in the whole of Cyprus....  noooo:

Shittiest why ?

1) It was empty (apart from them).
2) There were signs all around saying "Do not put your feet on the seats".
3) In the gents there was the urinal bit but the sit down bit didn't have a door on it. Worse, they'd fitted an air freshener in the door frame so it was impossible to fit a door....  rubschin:
