I sometimes get reproached for insisting a job is done in advance of the deadline. Today has delivered vindication of my reasoning
.
A print job has arrived, promotional material for the end of the month. It involves a couple of folds; there are two ways to do it, the right way, and of course the wrong way.
Doubtless Mr Cock-up was standing next to the numpty in the finishing room because yes, it's been folded the wrong way
I have been offered a 20% discount to accept the job as it stands ... Oh noes, they're going to do it the right way at their expense (+ delivery)
The incorrect material is still useable (if I run out) so I guess I'll have double the quantity at half the price
