At a mate's house attempting to book a weekend away in  Europe, anywhere.  We are not being very successful.  Angry9:

We got flights but then tried to find out what the extra, hidden, additional charge is when picking up a hire car in France but dropping it off in Spain.   shrugs:

Meeting with the Mayoress today.  I seem to have been roped into organising a Halloween 'thing' for the local children.  The thought of setting fire to some of them appeals. eveilgrin:

The meeting is to be held here..http://www.palacecafe.co.uk/

Owned and run by the only gays in the village.

It would be rather rude not to have a full English breakfast whilst there. razz:

Been a strange day today, odd customers and someone in this morning trying to blag freebies by complaining everything is too expensive.

Oh, when the internet and online shopping works ...  cloud9:

A new, replacement food destructerator required. Manufacturer reckons it'll be around 100 quids, Mr Fix-It says he can get one for around £120 but then tells me they've sold the last one  ::)
Online, I find one for £79 with free delivery ...  Shocked:  I buy, and less than 24 hours later it arrives ...  Shocked: again!

Result!
