Having new cabling fitted to improve internet speeds. Not Fibre Optic unfortunately but summat called LLU.
Means nowt to me but tests this morning show an improved speed from 5.6 to 16 for downloads.
Hopefully, when she comes home for holidays, that'll stop the THW from moaning and the boys from forever complaining that games are impossible to play due to constant "buffering".

Can't see that it'll change my life at all since I am developing the ability to filter out family moans and groans. Woodstock however can't seem to shrug them off as easily as I do. whistle:

I know nothing of such things BUT I do seem to recall being told, when I once complained at the difficulties of such a task, that one should fit the rad before the engine; to replace a rad one needed, so I was told, to remove the engine ...... Again I stress that I know nothing about mechanics but given the working space under a Mini bonnet that seemed good advice to me so I applied it and it worked.

I am now standing by to be told how wrong I am.   tunble:

I had the rad on for the start-a-thon....

But I couldn't drop the body over the engine with it so off it came...

As TMR says, it is a job with little merit...  evil:

Today is Mr C's 60th birthday.  Not one word card nothing from his parents or brother.

Mr C has gone to the National Railway Museum and from there to the Institute of Physics for a talk. Shrugs:

I am appalled by his families behaviour, their last conversation being that he was welcome at his parents home but I was not but this is beyond the pale.  I am so tempted to write to or even better just turn up on their doorstep and confront them with the hurt that they have caused. Explode:
I have always thought that the worst thing about drowning was having to call 'help!' You must look such a fool. It's put me against drowning.
