Quite simply, Miss C, me and Nick will probably have a pint or two in The Ship Tavern tomorrow. No more than 2 for Nick, though, because he drinks like a girl, although he will claim he has a meeting in the evening...

A burly office manageress-type woman, power-dressed to the hilt starts loudly talking about a conference she has recently attended. She and the subservient underling bloke she is with are outside with me having a ciggie. I think I could have heard her if I was still in Surrey. The point of her story was that during this conference it appears that another female was "strongly attracted to her". It was probably wrong of me to point out that most of the lesbians I have seen on the interweb are as fit as fuck, and she was therefore deluded. Silence in London is an odd thing.

No scarf honest but I can feel a lunch date coming on must do some research into good halfway hostelry's.

There is an establisment near here called the Halfway Inn, which used to cause some mirth.
In recent years it has added the Halfway Bistro.

"How about a Halfway Inn evening? If you like it, I can take you up the Bistro later"

Younshould come to Pompey DS, we've got a hostelry (sic) called the Fawcett Inn!

I kid you not.
"Political Correctness is a doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end."

Well, someone had to say it!

Our neighbours are Fawcett-Lowers a pair (father and som) of ner-do-wells.  Keepers of ferrets and assorted dogs.  The father rather a rascal of a chap and butcher by trade, the son a scallywag of no real means, an odd-jobbber with a local building compamy a breeder of ferrets, a hunter of rabbits ( not a bad thing in its self) and keeper of noisy yappy, barking dogs, kept in inhumane conditions. Both being curs ans cads of the highest order.

Thank you for clarifying things TMR.

I assume that that's a euphemism then?
